The website you are viewing has been created in tribute to Lt. Col. William M. “Bill” Cross Jr. (ret). A decorated Veteran of World War II and dedicated Soldier, he served 23 years of active duty in the US Army and lives to this day as a role-model and mentor to his five children, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Included within the pages you are about to explore, you will find links to photo collections, documentation and recently recorded audio clips by Col. Cross. You will also find images and documentation related to his Command of a post-war German POW Camp in France and limited reference to his inactive-duty civilian position within the Defense Intelligence Agency at The Pentagon in Washington , DC .

Today, Lt. Col. Cross resides in Arlington , VA , where he has lived since 1958. He currently enjoys most of his time in retirement at his second home, located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with his loving & devoted wife, Thelma.

We hope you enjoy your experience as you browse through this website. Col. Cross has requested that while viewing this website, let us never forget the sacrifices made by all members of the US Armed Forces, both throughout history and to this very day, in order for the rest of us to live in Freedom. Please support our troops!
